However, in 2004, the management arrangement with Six Flags was terminated, and the park is now managed by Time Warner and numerous Spanish investment groups. The park opened in the spring of 2002 under the management of the Six Flags chain, with a five-percent ownership share held by the Time Warner Corporation. Parque Warner Madrid, formerly known as Warner Brothers Movie World Madrid and Warner Brothers Park, is a theme/amusement park located in the municipality of San Martin de la Vega, just a few miles from the Spanish capital. One such park, the Warner Brothers Amusement Park, offers hours of fun for people of all ages and is conveniently located just 25 kilometers (15 miles) from the center of Madrid. However, if there are young children in your group-children whose patience for these types of tour stops will most likely be measurably shorter than your own-you should probably consider sprinkling in a few visits to some of the city’s theme parks as part of your overall itinerary. If you are planning to take your family on holiday in Madrid, the capital and largest city in Spain, you will no doubt want to visit some of the older and more traditional areas of the city, with monuments, statues and majestic architecture that together tell the story of this great city’s history.
